Proper use of h3-h6

Hi!

I have a pretty straight forward question about headings.

A website that I’m working on has got the following use of headings;

H1

H2

H5

H2

H3

H6

H2

The H1 and H2 are in order, but not the h3-h6. How important are those tags for snippets and general SEO? To change the headings would take ALOT of time, have to be worth it :)
