I have a bit over 200 products. 3 main categories and 6 subcategories. All of these are high competition short keywords. 6 long tail keyword product tags with seperate product tag pages with ~200 word descriptions. These product tag pages are getting ranked at #1-3 as those are not very competetive.
My problem here is am I diluting my authority of categories by using tags? Am I diluting the authority of my products by linking to them from seperate pages?
Example: category: "krosneles"
tag: "ketaus krosneles
With the main category page (10k monthly searches) I rank 25th, but with the product tag (100-1000) searches I rank #1-3.
I have been googling on this issue for a few days now. What should I do?
