All URL analysers tell me to start loading my site asynchronously, defer parsing of java script and so on. But when I test the settings with Async JavaScript the result cone back slower. Should I implement the changes?

I have 1 website for my buisiness. For the last weeks I have been able to get the Gtmetrix scores from Pageload speed 30 to 90 and Yslow from 20 to 83.

I feel like I can easily get the scores up a little higher by just enabling the plugin, but the wizard shows lower test results.

I am not even an amateur at website building so most things I do are trial and error. Should I enable the async plugin or not?

Perhaps it doesnt improve my scores.. but I also think it enables further improvements so that after some more optimalisation I can get my scores up further because of it. I am afraid I screw up my whole site, I am not good enough to actually oversee what I am doing.

Sorry if this is not the right sub, I hope some kind internet stranger can help me. Someone that might know that initially new settings slow down the site or something like that.

I also don't know if I can link the test report link so someone can look along with me..

Thanks in advance.
