I've got a client that has loads of unpublished pages on their website filled with keyword spam. I wanted to delete them to make my job easier but they truly thought that these pages were somehow seen by Google and somehow helped their SEO. I explained that, as far as Google is concerned, the pages do not exist, but I don't feel like I convinced them, and so the unpublished pages remain. You could tell they thought they were really smart to have discovered this 'SEO hack', too.
Anything comparable?
