A few months ago I have launched my first website (yay!), and now I am learning about SEO to try to get it ranked.
From what I have learned so far, backlinks are important to increase a website's ranking.
I have written 2 Dutch blogs so far, and I want to translate these to English and submit them to web2.0 websites, so I will generate backlinks for my website.
My question is: I have literally translated my blog from Dutch to English using Google translate. Will Google view this as duplicate content (and therefore hurt my rankings) or is this not a bad practice?
As I am new to SEO, all advice is appreciated :)
