3 years in a row, we've had a noticeable drop in traffic in August/September (2018 was due to an algorithm update). This year it's the worst it's ever been and still looks like its trajectory is downward getting into dangerously low territory.
In GSC, impressions seem to be quite level but CTR is heading downward.
How do we know for absolute sure that this is a seasonal trend and not an SEO problem? The weird thing is, our competitors don't appear to have the same problem (and they have the same topic focus).
There's also all the covid stuff and recession that are another possible factor.
What data should we paying close attention to?
