I have a site which really exists to get traffic for one key product (or manufacturer). We are a designer and installer of systems which us that product.
I have a main page which promotes the Product - lets call it XYZ. I also have blog entries where we explore the different products available from XYZ and basically write about anything to do with the product and link back to the hero page. These blog posts do well and generate a fair bit our traffic.
We also have a portfolio of work which shows our designs and installs in clients home. At the moment I have all the page titles, meta tags etc set to "XYZ installation in ABC" and the pages themselves contain links to the main hero page. I was hoping these would be very localised results.
The portfolio pages get little traffic and I dont think the main hero page gets as much traffic as it should. It used to perform very well and in Ahrefs the keyword tool suggest I need a certain number of back links, I have way more than this. Trust and domain age are good. We really are market leaders.
Should I remove all the meta tag information from Yoast and let Google handle the portfolio pages a bit more naturally?
Summary - I am worried my portfolio pages appear spammy and are dragging the main hero page down.
