Hey all,
First off, thanks for the help! I'm looking to start my own piano teaching studio in my town. I like the idea of using a brand name for the studio, like "Jacob Music Studio" (name just a placeholder) and I also own the domain name jacobmusicstudio.com. My website is not yet built.
For the purposes of this question, let's say I live in the city of Townsville. I also recently purchased the domains townsvillepiano.com and townsvillepianolessons.com.
I feel like these domains have a lot of SEO potential as I envision most people will use the keyword "townsville piano lessons" when searching. However, I would prefer to use my brand name as my studio name/domain name. I do not want my brand name to turn into "Townsville Piano Lessons", though I suppose that's not the end of the world if that ends up making the most sense.
My question is, if I redirect the domain townsvillepianolessons.com to my jacobmusicstudio.com domain, will it still be an effective means of helping my website appear on searches via the keyword "townsville piano lessons"?
I am planning on incorporating the location-based keyword into my website's copy, metadata, etc.
Thanks for the help! Hopefully my question makes sense...
