Google shortened the number of pixels that will display in a title tag on desktop. Were there any articles about this?

Usually I see tons of articles on sites like search engine roundtable, etc, whenever Google is testing new stuff in the SERPs, but I havent seen a single one about this. It seems like they shortened the number of pixels that you can use in a title tag from 549 to something more around 520. Did anyone else notice this? I only noticed because there are some tags that I know with certainty were fully displaying on desktop and now they aren't anymore. Anyone else notice?
