Anyone starting a business will find it hard to succeed if no one knows who they are, what they are running, and most importantly, why customers should be interested. If you want to find an audience it takes steps over time. Nobody wakes up with a group of people ready to give them money for something they thought of the day before. The first thing you want to do is describe your product in great detail. What does it do, why do customers want it, and what makes it special? Afterwards, find the benefits to your product and write them down. Lastly, what do people experience when buying your product and working with you? When you have completed this, it's time to find your audience. You will need to target a certain group of people.
FINDING YOUR AUDIENCE 1) What age group does my product appeal to most? 2) What does your customer need and what are they scared of? (Help them lose that fear) What do they want? 3) How can you help them? (fix the needs) 4) What is so special about your product? Why should they buy it? 5) List any problems customer might have with your item.
When you finish finding your audience it's time to look into what your competitors are doing.
COMPETITOR VIEW 1) What do their websites look like? 2) What colors are they using? 3) How do they speak to the customer? 4) What does their home menu consist of? 5) What are their prices?
After you have completed the second section you can move onto looking into your customers perspective.
CUSTOMER VIEW 1) How simple is your site to understand? 2) Are your prices fair for them? 3) If there is a problem, how hard is it for the customer to contact someone and resolve the issue?
