Seeing wrong timestamp on Google, but right headline, sometimes outdated meta description. Affecting tons of posts but not all. We use Yoast (we're five or six updates behind because we're a big site). Sometimes affects posts that are updated hourly/daily.

Hi guys, this is a weird issue. I'm wondering if maybe we're serving something in the copy or meta tags that's confusing Google or if maybe a tool we're using is serving some information that Google thinks makes more sense as a date. Really not sure.

In some cases we're seeing evergreen content that's updated for the most recent month, having timestsamps from a year to two years ago.

Any ideas or things to look into?

Due to the size of our site, I'd prefer to not post the site publicly as I don't have explicit permission to post this kind of question on reddit. However I am very curious if anyone has any ideas you could point me towards.
