Potential GMB Ranking Factor? Following google maps directions to a business address.

I have seen some people in the SEO space driving around with 10 or so phones on google maps. it would make sense if this is a ranking factor.

for example, if one was to search “coffee shops London” and clicked on directions on a maps listing then followed the directions to the location.

anyone heard of this working?
