Obvious disclaimer - the site name in the title is fake.
So, my company decided to move the site to a more appealing URL. All pages of the old website now have the 301 code Moved Permanently, are non-indexable, redirect to their new clones, canonical tag show the respective URLs of the new site.
I have a few questions:
- How will this affect the SEO of the site?
- What can I do to help Google understand that this new site is the correct one?
- What problems can arise due to such migration?
- In addition to the settings I've described (i.e. code 301, non-indexation, etc), what other settings are important in this process that we may have overlooked?
