I've got a good working relationship with a company with a very niche B2B industry. I've got them ranking highly for their main terms in the UK which can be as few as 10 searches per month. Projects are around the £50k mark and have LONG lead times and completion timelines. CPC for related terms are around £30 and I'd like to avoid PPC here.
The majority of their customers are USA based and referral, I want to generate new leads for them from USA based clients. The site is Squarespace, not country targeted (I don't want to kill their useful and high UK rankings by sending this to the USA).
Most of the main players in this industry are US based, and will rank for location based searches. How can I compete with this? I could create a US variant of the homepage using hreflangs - that's totally doable. Do you think that would work?
Have any of you had a similar challenge to overcome? I'm keen to improve my International SEO, and this seems a good time to up my game.
