I have been into SEO field from past 5 years and read a lot of articles over the web but never been able to understand the concept of how actually google rank a particular keyword for a website. Few people say
a.) You should optimize the website with respect to On Page SEO.
b.) Few say build good quality backlinks. What actually a good quality backlink? A website which high PA & Da or the website which give a dofollow link.
c.) Some say target long phrase keyword as they help in ranking generic keywords but when checking the search volume for those keywords it shows no figure.
d.) keep on building content in your niche/
d.) and much more blah blah blah...
Can anyone let me know a genuine answer to my confusion
