Bit of context, I've worked in SEO for two years and I'm currently the only digital marketing person in my company (I work for a small brick and mortar store expanding online). I'm generally fairly clued in, I understand Analytics and I do technical SEO work as well as content, emails, and some basic UX.
Mentioning this because I'm completely thrown by a pattern emerging within Search Console.
Once a week for the last month impressions will shoot up and position will shoot down. The next day it goes back to (generally) where it was before, making a diamond shape. This is happening exclusively on days I'm in the office and I'm sure it's due to something I'm doing but I have no idea what!
Before me the company had been doing odd bits on the site but there was no dedicated person, so I've been changing a million things and I can't narrow it down to one.
If this has happened to you or you've heard of it please let me know! I'm just stumped, hoping more experienced SEO people can spot the problem!
