So I was reading an article that had said News sites were removing the paywall because it was affecting their traffic. (I don’t have a link to this article but if someone knows of an article like this it would be greatly appreciated.) I am wondering if the paywall hides the content from being crawled and interpreted, therefore making Google rank the site lower because it doesn’t find that site to be user friendly. Or if anyone knows of other reasons why paywalls harm SEO and user behavior? Thanks again in advance!
