Posting my blog posts on Quora? Duplicate content or good for SEO?

If I answer Quora questions with copy and pasted sections of my blog posts - is this bad practice?

I always link to my blog, but I pretty much give away most the content. I'm not worried about people reading it and not visiting my website, but I am worried about:

1) Quora out-ranking me for my own content
2) Google thinking my blog is a duplicate
