I was just wondering if, in SEO terms there would be any danger in cloning a website to a different hosting account so that at first the new domain would point to that site because the new domain is registered there as well. Meanwhile the orginal copy is still hosted on the old hosting acount with the old domain name pointing towards it as it does now. But of course right after the clone I would do a 301 redirect on the old domainname and tell Google about it.
