Add Canonical tag to Categories and Tags in WordPress?

I use categories and tags in WordPress. Should I set a canonical for each tag/category that links to the page/post that the tag/category is used on?

I am assuming here there is one tag/category on a page or that there is a primary/best fit page/post if that makes sense.

I am using Yoast.
