Content sucks, spam is the King. Top five adult sites snatch all SE traffic by "search pages", that violate google guidelines. It's spam, but if your site is xnxx, you never be banned for it.
Shitty links? Yes it's fucking 2018 year, but domains with backlinks from guestbooks ranked so well.
Irrelevant results? Yeah, twiiter and insta tags always better than your sitename. Thanks god and euro regulators, google books was moved far from top, but still present.
Doorways? Yes it's fucking doorways in 2018, a lot of queries stuffed by it.
