SEO courses

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some suggestions over good courses within SEO that can improve my resume. I have been working in the field for 3-4 years, so I am looking for intermediate courses and eventually advanced courses.

Thanks

Title tag changes in Google

Google confirms it changed how it creates titles for search result listings - The latest data behind the title tag changes in Google:

  • Google will only change your title if it's not short.
  • If you include emojis or weird characters in your title, ~95% of the time Google will change the title.
  • For high DA websites Google will not force them to include brand names.
  • If Google changes the title it is pulling in the H1 >50% of the time.
  • 52 characters is the average count for Google’s title.

--> Is anybody affected with this? do we need to worry about this?

SEO completely stopped as of July 1st Google update...

Im fairly new to SEO and am currently using rankmath. I started my online wholesale store back in March and launched the website in May. I did fairly basic SEO but my products were ranking on the first three pages of google search results for about a month. When then July 1st update hit the products completely disappeared from search and organic traffic decreased significantly.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to get my products to rank again?

User Agent Cloaking for better Lighthouse scores

John Mueller stated recently that Lighthouse scores do not affect Google Search. Doing user-agent cloaking is a terrible idea - you're just deceiving yourself. My question is, does anyone know if the plugin Nitropack is actually doing something that would be against Google's best practices?

Help me understand what is meant by 'niche'

Hey guys,

I understand why positioning within a specific niche is beneficial; its easier to draw traffic, gain authority, dominate a space etc.

But.. if you are able to identify enough low competition keywords that you believe you can rank for, how much does it really matter?

i.e.

I want to create a website selling DVDs. I've managed to identify several keywords with low difficulty and intend to write articles around them (i.e. 'best 80s sci-fi films', 'best black and white comedys', etc).

I would end up with a website full of articles which ought to rank and draw in traffic, which I would hope to redirect to DVD sellers. However in this instance, my 'niche' would be pretty broad - basically I'm just selling DVDs.

Although I'm not really drilling down that specifically, would this still be a viable strategy for building a affiliate marketing website or is there something I'm missing?

SEO concerns over festival name. Advice needed :)

CONTEXT

I am managing a festival in Italy and just reached an important agreement with another slightly smaller festival: we will merge together from next year and relocate to their location.

Something I need your help on, however, is the decision about which name to give the new baby.(Free tickets to all those who are going to contribute! Just PM!)

INFO

Festival 1: Atlas Festival - From a marketing perspective, we established a better and more recognized brand in just three years, as a result of our marketing efforts and competences compared to our counterparts.

  • Facebook followers: 11k
  • Instagram followers: 7k

Festival 2: Taurus Connection - Established almost 10 years ago, the trajectory this festival followed is radically different from ours. These guys started with very intimate parties and built a loyal following year after year, with almost no advertising, especially on digital platforms of any kind.

  • Facebook followers: 1.4k + 5.5k (festival + organizer's page)
  • Instagram followers: 1.5k

Both organizations agreed to keep Atlas in the name of the next event, as it is undoubtedly stronger as a brand.

THE NAME

Currently, we're divided between two options:

  1. Maintain the name Atlas Festival, and assign the name Taurus to the main stage of the event.
  2. Opt for Atlas Connection, which borrows elements from both projects.

My reasoning is the following:

Atlas Connection would resonate more within our audiences, as it better conveys the merging of two projects, creating IMO a lot of hype, especially in our current audience. Moreover, it would make the entourage of Taurus Connection more recognized and involved, as part of their festival name is maintained.

However, I am afraid that such a name might hinder our expansion, especially with digital marketing: almost every festival I know has the "festival" suffix in their social media and websites (ie: Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, etc.) and I think that might stem from the need to better stand out in terms of SEO as it is a probably powerful keyword.

If that is true, we should basically have to choose between hyping our current audiences with the risk of making it harder for us to reach a larger audience in the future, or rather go for the safer choice without, however, capitalizing much on the perception of the two projects merging together.

What would you do, and what would you investigate further to identify which option is better?

Many thanks for reading my post!

My Favourite SEO Tools. What are yours?

After a few months of using some SEO and SEM tools i thought to make a post about giving my two cents about some of these tools and asking what you guys use.

  • SEMRush - Arguably the best, the only con is the very limited query you have as a free account
  • MOZ - My second favourite, gives great results like SEMRush but again very limited for free
  • Similarweb - Not my go-to since some of the statistics at times seem to be far too absurd. Did a search on a website once and on semrush got 10,000k monthly views and similarweb gave 3 million monthly views? o_0 But i can see that these websites give you an "estimate" of how much they have visitors. Best place to get them is of course if the website themselves give you stats like from Google Analytics
  • SpyFu - pretty neat
  • Serpstat - also fine

So what tools do you use to do SEO and website analysis?

How to get clients for freelance when you're from a tier-3 country?

Hey everyone! I'm facing a weird situation and an income block here. I'm from a tier-3 country and have been in the SEO space for a couple of years; mostly building affiliate sites and making 300-400 bucks from them. Haven't been able to scale much bc of obvious reasons that an average nobody from a tier-3 country can't afford to invest $5-10k in SEO projects. It's just a LOT of money for us.

I'm currently doing an highly underpaid full time and I make more from my sites than the full time by it helps me fund my projects to an extent so I can't leave it.

If I approach local businesses here, they're the least interested in SEO as everything happens offline, f2f.

Only option is to approach businesses in tier-1 countries but they're way too disconnected from third world countries and would rather prefer working with natives.

For me to fund my campaigns I earn like a few bucks an hour and pay 5-10x my hourly wage for services I get (I try to do everything on my own mostly tho)

This is a very complex situation and I really want to get out of this and scale the way I want and grow my knowledge base and SEO skills with a fair wage and fair opportunities.

I would highly appreciate if anyone drops in an advice or suggest me ways to get over this situation. I really want to grow.

Best tool for researching questions for an interview?

I have a Youtube channel and am branching out to interview style content.

I'm looking for the best tool to research the most commonly asked questions surrounding a topic or keyword, providing search volume and competitiveness of the questions.

I've been generally dissatisfied with the tools that I've tried so far:
- I use VidIQ but the keyword research focuses on short phrases and tags but not questions, same with TubeBuddy.
- I've trialed SEMRush and Ahrefs and see that they do provide keywords in the form of questions but I can't justify the subscription price as they are extensive SEO tools that would be overkill for my specific purpose of just researching questions.
- AlsoAsked site perpetually under maintenance. Is it dead?
- Answerthepublic spits out questions but provides no context around search volume and competetiveness

Thank you in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Predatory SEO

So I do IT for a dental company that acquires dental offices where the dentist wants to retire.

We onboard their office, and one of the many things that happens (including firing a lot of the staff, it's a very sad process) is our marketing team changes their website to our template and branding.

For this reason, I often have to confront their current SEO or Digital Marketing provider since we no longer require their services.

What I find is that very little work is being done for the monthly fee they are charging. Typically, virtually nothing is being done aside from a report that is provided monthly, and occasional blog pieces that are poorly written. It's almost pure passive income.

But these SEO agencies generally created good content early on and the original client is so happy with the continuous results from that initial work.

But they are charging monthly afterward for...what?

I've dealt with several bad breakup situations where we had to cancel SEO vendors and convince these dental offices that nothing bad will happen after cancellation. Because factually, nothing bad will happen. The content exists, it ranks well, it's not going away aside from the threat of new efforts from competitors.

As someone who takes interest in SEO, I just wanted to ask this sub about the thought process behind SEO pricing.

It seems fair to me to charge a high fee for content and optimization that results in lead generation that more than makes up the cost.

But it seems dishonest to say you are paying monthly for continuous work.

It seems like these agencies get their client to a happy place, stop doing work, and allocate their resources to onboarding more clients (so they can scale and make more money).

It just seems very vague and predatory.

Best Agency/Enterprise Rank Tracking Tool?

Hi,

I am currently using RankRanger I also have access to SEM Rush and AHREFs, however, we are finding rankranger to be pretty clunky and hard to use especially for members that don't go into it a lot.

SEM Rush and AHREFs are good tools for day to day usage, but for agency-level position tracking, they are very basic and don't really fit our needs, it's also very expensive for their position tracking.

I have been looking at "serpstat" and "seranking" these seem to be the market leaders, has anyone had experience with either of these tools or have another they would recommend?

Ideally, I am looking for accurate rank tracking, simple and user friendly platform and some way of reporting/monitoring, budget is around $500 a month.

Transferring Client Website Files

Hello community,

This is my first post and I apologize if I am in the wrong place. I am in the process of starting a digital marketing agency and I am trying to onboard my first client. Currently their website is hosted by a company that built their website. It looks as if it was built using HTML.

I would like to transfer the website’s content from the third party company’s server to another server so I have more control over any future issues and perform digital marketing services. How do I ensure that I can transfer the content without losing any files or content? Also, how should I go about storing client files and website backups?

The client does not have any login information or anything of the like. Honestly I’m a little lost on where to go from here and any help is appreciated.

Migrating subdomain to subfolder

Hi guys,

I'm looking for any sort of advice on the following situation.

My website has a main domain and 2 subdomains. All have the same DR, which to me signifies they are all considered 1 website by Google (where the performance of one affects the performance of the others).

One of the subdomains is a podcast built on Wordpress, with 200+ pages of thin content (1 page for each podcast episode, with a link to the Youtube video and a short description).

I'm worried these 200+ thin content pages are hurting the SEO of my main website's blog articles (around 100 in total), so I want to redirect the subdomain to a subfolder on the main website.

The podcast itself ranks #1 for the term "<topic> podcast" and is being picked up by Google/Apple Podcasts and a bunch of other podcast websites. (all linking to the podcast. subdomain)

My question is, would you do the same if you were me, and what other things would you check/take into account before making this move?

Thanks in advance.

Your opinion on my link building strategy?

I'm not an expert, so looking for some unbiased views on a link building strategy I would like to implement for a client.

The client is a local service company based in London. We have many location-specific pages; some rank well, some do not.

Service + Location

We would like to push these pages further as the ones ranking well bring in precious leads.

Obviously, building links directly to these pages would be unnatural and would not push all the specific pages up.

Therefore, I plan to build out a location hub, "areas we serve", with a list of the locations categoriesed.

And then proceed to build links to the location hub.

This would spread the page rank across all our location pages to receive some benefit and allow us not to have links to the specific pages.

What is your opinion on this, and let me know if you need any more info?

Can I modify a keyword I am trying to target and still rank for that original keyword?

I want to target a keyword “ mower won’t start” it gets a good amount of traffic and it is relatively an easy keyword.

So I go back to my blog and I put mower wont start as the tittle.

Instead I would like to add “ lawn mower won’t start”

How to deal with data-sheet and product PDFs which are repeated over the web?

I'd like to ask for opinions on the proper way to deal with a situation whereas a company (acme.com) is selling and implementing certain kind of gadgets, and while each product has their own dedicated HTML product page on these pages deep technical information is not provided. However for the tech-savvy the website also hosts data-sheets and vendor provided PDF documentation about the products, linked from the product HTML pages for easy access. All together this is a setup that seems to be useful for real users.

Now when we go down to SEO, since these PDF-s are mostly provided by the manufacturers, they appear in other places over the web. Many of them are detected as duplicate content by Google whereas the "Google-selected canonical" is mostly the same PDF on someone else's website!

Question 1: Does this mean that link-juice is leaked to those other random websites, even though acme.com is linking to the PDFs under it's own domain?

Question 2: If answer to Q1 is yes, would adding rel="nofollow" to those links pointing to the PDFs fix the issue?

To make things more complicated when I check the Links section in Google Search Console, I can see that apparently acme.com have loads of External links, but when I take a closer look, most of those are pointing to identical copies of these PDFs mostly on another site.

Question 3: Is it a bug in Google Search Console that it shows links to PDFs on other websites as incoming external links to acme.com?

But also when I look further I can find some PDFs, where the Google Selected Canonical seems to be the one on acme.com, even though there are many other sites linking to duplicates of the same PDFs.

Question 4: Does that mean that with those PDFs acme.com is stealing link juice from other sites?

Question 5: If Q4 is yes, does that mean acme.com should examine the PDFs one-by-one and add rel="nofollow" (or prevent indexing in any other way according to Q2) to those links where the canonical is on another domain, but keep normal links to those PDFs, where we have the canonical versions?

I know it is a complex topic. Your insights would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Google Analytics says broken links; link checker tools say no

I'm in Analytics / Site Content / All Pages / Page Title / 404

-- and I'm seeing broken links. If I copy a URL and paste it, it is in fact broken.

Screaming Frog says no broken links, status codes all 200. As do link checker tools.

For Previous Page Path, many are marked "(entrance)." Might that be Google Ads and/or Google Merchant Center?

Previous Page Path indicates pages on the site for others, but I can't find any broken links on them.

Thanks for the help!

content migration - step by step or rather all at once

Hello Dear SEO-Community! In the next couple of months we want to move our blog which was on a seperate domain to a bigger website. The website already has a blog section, the blog will be integrated into it.

As far as i know all kind of redesigns or relaunches should happen step by step and you should't change so much because google will reevaluate your site and that might hurt your rankings. For our project we have two approaches:

  1. Prepare all steps for the content relaunch over the next couple of months: Setting up new URL-structure for the blog-section, make a new design... and on relaunch day we will redirect all of the articles at once to the new domain.
  2. Redirect the articles step by step. The blog domain will still exist over the next few months and we will redirect only like 10-30 articles monthly.

My problem with the second approach is that we will have more work to do because we still need to maintain the blog domain, set new redirects every month and also we won't see a real impact on the relaunch itself speaking of visibility changes. What are you thoughts?

What's the best way to update/refresh old posts?

What's the best way to update/refresh old posts?

For instance, say you have a post that is 2 year old already and you want to update it to the current year, how many changes should you make?

Would just changing a picture help? Or is a few sentences enough to make it seem fresh in Googles eyes? Or do you need to write quite a bit to make it seem fresh?

I ask this because one of my competitors is constantly updating their blog posts every 1 to 2 months and they are drastically rising in the ranks of Google to Page 1 with almost every one of their posts.

I can't figure out for the life of me what they are doing differently asides from updating so often.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Do you do web design? If so, how do you factor it into pricing?

It seems like all the web designers do "seo", so i imagine it going the other way around often.

If someone comes to you with a shit site you can't just seo it while it still looks like crap.

Do you make design built into your retainer? Or do you charge a fixed price for the design?

I imagine if you charge $5k for the website and split it into 5 months of your seo retainer, then does the retainer get cheaper afterwards or do you just do other things with the same money?

Alternative pages, tips to rank highest?

I'm in the process of creating some alternative pages for my SaaS, for example "Apple vs Microsoft", or "Apple alternatives".

Has anyone had much success in these types of pages, and if so - is there anything I should be focusing on specifically, SEO wise? I'm adding a pricing comparison table and features comparison table, and a bit of text.

One of my competitors has 5k/mo searches for "Competitor alternative", so hoping to grab some of that traffic.

Needing some information on SEO audits

Hi All,

A few months ago I started a website purely for fun and to try to learn a bit more about SEO. Figured I could read all I want but the best way to learn is to jump right into it. My website provides gaming content (guides, tutorials, etc.) so I feel it's a bit different than what I read a lot on (which seems to really be focused on ecommerce).

I know competition is quite fierce in this space so I started with games that weren't very popular and didn't have the major gaming outlets focus on. A few months in and I'm averaging around 400+ users a day but now kind of stumped and not sure what I should be putting my focus on and improving next.

At the moment I feel like I've got some strong domain authority in two games, but wanted to branch out to some other game titles. The problem is a lot of the titles I want to branch into have a lot of competition.

Long story short, I'm wondering if there's more I should be doing on my website in order to better compete against other websites. Again, I'm quite new to this so I'm sure there's a lot i've done wrong and could be improved.

Now onto the question: I'm looking to have a professional audit my website but not really sure where to begin looking for my specific niche and what the price range for this stuff usually is. I've looked on things like Fiverr but hesitant to pull the trigger on one of them. With my specific content, do I need to find someone that knows the gaming space or could any real SEO guru help regardless of the content my site is about? Any idea price range on what this audit would cost?

Appreciate any help in advance!

Artisan Resume -- Looking for SEO help

Advertising costs outweigh the marginal increase in revenue, unless the user subscribes and stays around for a year and a half. I do notice good conversion rates, however.

This is why I'm posting here. I'm looking for someone who is really strong in SEO and content to join the team for a negotiable equity stake.

I have a directory website with 1000+ listings. It lacks textual content. Any tips to spice up these directory pages?

Hi everyone,

I have a directory website that focuses on tattoo shops in the Netherlands. The website has 1000+ listings and each listing has a unique page. All listings are generated automatically and contain only necessary information.

Someone pointed out to me, that it would be better to add a body of text on the profile page, as this would improve SEO. At the moment, Google would just see 'empty' image pages.

My question:

I can write a generic text for all the tattoo shops, with variables such as:

  • Name tattoo shop
  • City
  • Tattoo styles
  • Instagram + Facebook links
  • etc.

What do the SEO Gods of Reddit recommend? Any tips or advice?

Here is how I make PBN

If you are struggling to find a way to start or grow a content marketing business you can do it this way.

Find a broad evergreen niche you mostly seek news for.

Ex- Internet marketing, Politics, Online shopping, Cooking, Software, Technology, Drugs, Economy, Public safety, Science, Religion, Space etc.

Now choose relatively very small niche Ex- Control system, HVAC, Pets, Protein powder, Water purifier, best blah blah blah blah etc.

Make social media profiles on relevant channels.

Now write or get the complete relevant info for that small niche and connect it with your broad niche using social media posts using facts, sarcasm, psychology with recent info or happenings.

Now use unique keywords in your site content like your native languages words or some other unique long tail keywords not in the knowledge graph of search engines.

Now buy few relevant or brand able domains or web 2.0. Give more weightage to the name than domain SEO metrics.

Use content curation software to populate these domains with articles using curated content images videos etc. Add source for them all. You can also use any guest post as source.

Add your voice to each curated paragraph of content like the unique keywords used in main site.

If you have video making software add a summary or better explanation etc in the article.

The more human element it has the more rank able it will be. Optimize it for long tail or other relevant keywords.

Now use mass backlink software’s to link to these tier two links with all unique keywords. Add a few main site keywords.

It is a better way to make more efficient and safe PBN.

Now expand by connecting other small niche and same SM channels.

It will require some investment like any business but after that it takes only mouse click, few keyboard tap, observation and reading skill.

Also you can just make a list of links like directory and give unique context to each of them and also wisdom about the whole and use as main site.

You can use following software a try to ease above process

Content Artimes to find news or related content.

Video Creator to add quick unique Videos or your Ads.

Avatar builder very boring content.

White label studio for local or Software as service business.(Optional)

Video player App to make it personal. (Optional)

Content meet Domain to find cheap traffic generating or SEO sites.

Content meet social to post to various sites. (Optional)

From Blackhatworld

You think the problem is with the link-building?
No the content. Why rewrite article. Instead put something of your expertise on main site. Connect it with relevant news on SM and put curated news or related content on PBN or web 2.0. Add something to it for humans.
There is huge evergreen market to connect main stream media with the masses. Adding this content on PBN also add to your database and the PBN becomes more authoritative

Here’s what Google recommends for each type of link:

  • Affiliate links: Google asks sites participating in affiliate programs to qualify these links with rel=“sponsored”, regardless of whether these links were created manually or dynamically.
  • Links from sponsored posts: Links that are advertisements or paid placements (commonly called paid links) are to be marked up with the rel=“sponsored” value.
  • Links from guest posts: Links from guest posts are to be marked up with the rel=“nofollow” value.

Why do page views matter?

Reading something by Ryan Holiday right now and he’s talking a lot about how news outlets just want to increase page views. I understand that page views are important if you have lots of ads on your site, but is there also something inherently valuable about page views? Does Google see how many page views a site gets or does it affect rankings in some other way?

In the Book Ryan Holiday also talks about how news outlets just want you to sign up and give them their email etc in order to increase page views. I don’t understand why this would matter, esp also because on a registration page there is normally not much advertisement. Am I not getting something?

Google news is tough!

The changes to google news seem to have made it very difficult for new publishing ventures.

I had a number of websites rank in google news search within weeks in 2016/2017. Now I have a website producing regular, original quality news content and still not ranking in google news searches 6 months after launch.

Interestingly, analytics does show a trickle of traffic from google news (a few hundred clicks out of 50,000+ total uniques) but I’m not sure where these have come from.

Question regarding URL slugging/redirecting a sites homepage for SEO benefit?

Something like this? Basicially, I'm using wix & I'm in the SEO settings for the page, & it's asking me to set my homepages URL slug. I don't have one though. my sites .com address brings up the homepage not .com/home. & it wont let me leave it blank. If I just add say /home wont that be bad for my SEO as there will be 2 addresses? Also if set, the .com/home address wont work unless I add a 301 redirect, then it'll redirect to .com . Will that affect my SEO? This seems extra. For no benefit. If I added keywords into the slug instead of it being just/home, would that help my SEO? Wouldnt google just index the .com version though & not the .com/home version though because of the 301 redirect? Thus the keywords not helping? What about if I do a domain redirect instead & redirect people going to .com to a URL slug of .com/home ? That wouldn't help SEO I don't think though, unless it was .com/home-keyword or something right? In that case would it help or would Google be indexing 2 sites? This is annoying, seeing as wix wont just let me leave the URL slug for my homepage blank.

Thoughts anyone?

Will any of this positively affect my SEO positively or negatively?

Is it just redundant nonsense?

Any ways to get around it?

Thanks!

Deleting Posts and SEO

When we delete a blog post or bunch of blog posts from a blog, should we delete it from the Google Search Console too? How does it affect our SEO?

I saw someone on the internet say, that we need to change the robot tags of the pages you are going to delete from “follow” “index” to “follow” “noindex”.

Once the url is deindexed change the tags to “nofollow” and “noindex” and then go ahead to delete the post.

Calling all SEO experts: is my agency giving me bad advice?

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this subreddit so sorry if this question has been answered a million times.

I recently started working as a content manager at an investment startup and my understanding of SEO is pretty basic. We're working with an SEO agency to implement a content marketing strategy. They are well-respected and have many success stories and all that jazz fusion.

The thing is, for every page we're working on they give us these massive lists of keywords that MUST be used OR ELSE...

For example, for a blog post about options trading the list goes like this:

options trading for beginners / how to trade options / options trading for dummies / options trading strategy for beginners / what is options trading / trading options 101 / + 10 more of exactly the same phrase written differently.

Then they also give a list of LSIs like stocks, buying, investment and all that, all of which have to be inserted and which I have no issue with.

But I have an issue with putting in exactly the same phrase 10 times written differently just because people are searching for it. Stuffing it all in feels like, well, keyword stuffing. Or is that how SEO still works these days and I'm just a noob?

I've read a bunch of articles on keywords in blog posts and all of them seem to say the same thing: search engines have changed, optimize for your main keyword and write for humans, not robots, don't obsess over keywords etc. etc.

But every time I bring this up with them they say this space is very competitive surely thou must all the keywords inserteth otherwise thou shalt surely die. When I communicate this with my CMO he says he sees no problem and also this agency knows what they're doing.

I understand how this can work for a post called Best Times to Post of Instagram where you can have H2s like "Best Times to Post of Instagram on Sunday" "Best Times to Post of Instagram if you're in Finland" but not when I'm trying to write meaningful, interesting content that talks to real people.

So to stuff or not to stuff?

Would love to hear your thoughts and would greatly appreciate if you could recommend some current resources or videos that talk about this specific issue.

Thanks!

P.S. I'm not a robot

Should I buy Longshot.Ai (Currently Lifetime Offer)? Need Honest Suggestion

Hey Everyone,

I am a blogger and freelance writer. Sometimes due to loads of writing work I feel burden and I can't complete everything on time. I also looking to write content fast for my own blog and update it everyday.

I have two options:

Either outsource my work or buy the AI content writing tool that helps me to get my job done fast.

I am interested in Longshot.ai tool. At the moment they are offering lifetime deal, 3 days left in deal.

I need your honest suggestions regarding this.

  1. Should I buy Longshot.ai lifetime deal?
  2. Is this tool good to use?
  3. I know conversion.ai is more better than longshot . ai but conversion . ai is bit expensive.
  4. So should I stay with conversion.ai (few days ago I joined it as a team member and it's a great tool) or go for longshot .ai?

LSI keywords create bad user experience?

You notice instantly when an article is written for google, they are annoying to read. Yet the top 10 articles almost always seem to follow the same formula, at least in my niche.

When I search for "keyword exercises" I don't care about the history and the definition of the keyword. I'm interested in the exercises.

This frustrates me because I'm building a new website that will focus on seo and I don't want to write these kinds of articles. I want to write for the user, but don't know if I will be able to outrank my competitors.

How important is it to use these useless (in my opinion) lsi keywords?

Anyone have a great search engine optimization company to refer?

I have an online ecommerce business that is ranking between #1 to 10 for alot of relevant keywords for my industry/niche. I am looking for a reputable and effective SEO company that will handle my SEO going forward.I have also heard some good feedbacks about onlineadvantages.net but i wonder anyone has any experience with them or not. I have a very healthy revenue stream and can afford most if not all SEO services as long as they are reasonable and effective. If they are located in Canada or US that is a plus. Thank you.

Please advice which certificate to choose

Hey, guys. Need to buy SSL certificate for a single website that contains payment page. As far as I understand DV (domain verification) is not enough for such sites. So, please advice if OV (organization verification) will be enough? Who really uses EV (extended verification) SSL certificates?

I'm looking at Comodo and GoDaddy. Please share your experience.

e-commerce: same product under different categories or make it unique?

I have started an e-commerce store, but I have a question about how to organize my products and my categories.

Let's say I have a sports store and I sell a pair of shoes which can be used for both tennis and indoor soccer. Is it ok to have to different URL's for the same product? Or should I make a different category on my website that contain shoes only, and use that URL for both the tennis and soccer shoes.

I hope you know what I mean. I just dont know if it's good to rank in Google if you have a product which is under 2 different categories on the website, it's duplicate content and thats bad, isn't it?
