Art of SEO 3rd edition

Is this book written in 2015 still relevant and useful? I'm assuming things might have changed since 2015.

What to do when you hate linkbuilding?

Hi, I'm in SEO since 2018. I've started as an SEO copywriter. After a year of writing texts I decided to study this staff so that I could offer SEO services in full complex. In 2019 I started to work full time as an SEO manager in a jewelry brand. I've achieved some nice results and after a year and half became Head of content-marketing department. I have in this company a nice salary (for residents of Ukraine, this is considered good money), but I'm still working extra 10 hours per week on UpWork. Usually on Upwork I was working on short term projects (provide keyword research, fix some technical errors or competitor audit). Now I want to leave my job and work as a freelancer. I really like working in SEO, but linkbuilding for me is a pain in the ass. The reason why I hate it: 1. You need a budget from your client to buy sometimes links. 2. I cannot calculate how many links I can get in a certain period. I can say that I need 5 hours for a competitor audit, 4-5 hours to finish keyword research, but I'm not able to say that I can provide in 10 hours 20 links with an avarage DA 50+.
P.S. 90% of my projects are hourly contracts

So I thought it over and decided to find a partner partner who can do the linkbuilding part. Is this a normal practise? And how do you deal with this situation (If you also don't like doing it).

Sorry, if the post is too big. This question has been troubling me for a long time and therefore I decided to share it with those who are working in this field.

PLEASE HELP GOOGLE SERP

hey guys - a new member here, and huge issue i can't seem to wrap my head around where i could really use yalls help!

I oversee about a couple real estate agents in my local neighborhood - however the issue lies in this:

Lets say theres 50 agents total

if i look up lets say his name is 'john james real estate' on google then him and his GMB appears - great awesome, right?

Well then, if I search a second employee lets say her name is jill jansen and i look up 'Jill Jansen Real estate' what happens is that john james GMB appears when i search her name

then lets say i search another employee - calling him "jake bo" - if i look up "jake bo real estate" john james GMB STILL shows up - even though no where are there names related

THEN the confusing part is that he only appears for select employees, not all of them. I don't know if this a metatagging issue, i went through his content seo and nothing seems to trigger it, so im at a loss - Any help would be greatly appreciated.
