I am in a bit of a struggle hoping I can find some help asking around. Currently I am working for a company in a trading niche (trading education).
The website has already decent DA and PA and overall traffic is great, we publish the lot of blog content which is in depth, length and brings more information over the posts which currently rank on 1st page.
The problem is that I don't really know what approach to chose in building backlink opportunities. The problem is that almost everyone is a straight competition and upon browsing their sites they never link to anyone else but themselves, there are also a news site which sometimes link to these pages but all the topics were explained in the past.
What I am currently thinking is to completely move to whole different niche (something like personal finance, entrepreneurship for example) where I might be able to find link building opportunities, but only for a very basic trading topic, not for more advanced and in depth strategies which our site focus on rather than basic tutorials.
Is there anyone here who struggled with something like this in the past where basically all the sites in your niche are just straight competition?
