I currently manage my families website and I have someone trying to charge them a large chunk to get the website to the top 3 mapping placements within googles search for specific locations.
I am trying to get a jump on this so that I can convince my family to save money.
Could I get some pointers or perhaps have someone tell me if I am doing this wrong?
I have so far done the following:
1.) Schema Markup
2.) PageSpeed Insights Optimization
3.) Google Business Updates -
Each photo I add here I am Geo-tagging for the specific City that I want to show up in the mapping location for. The tags include city name, business name and some keywords that I wish for the query to show up on. Here is where I have some questions where google has failed me: 1.) Does having multiple photos within one location improve the search algorithm? 2.) Does my naming for my tags need to be very specific? Format I am using right now is: "Cityname State Keywords Businessname"
The businesses location is not within the location I wish for it to show up in on Google. So I did not think adding the business location to the tag would be helpful, but perhaps adding a very specific address for the geotag inside the tag helps?
4.) Bing Business Updates
5.) Ran Yext - currently walking through all the profiles that do not match, and fixing them, and adding for ones we are not apart of.
6.) Ran Moz - currently walking through and updating.
7.) Same with Whitespark - walking through the citations and making sure we have a presence.
8.) Monitoring Google's search console for Queries and Data - Takes a few days to get feedback
9.) SEOQuake extension
I believe the biggest impact for this is geo-tagging photos and making sure they have a large presence within the area we wish for the query to appear. I am guessing though and would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you so much.
