Hi folks,
I've built a site with ~30k words of content 45 days ago and haven't seen any search impressions (let alone clicks) from google.
The site is a free course, and I'm making the content of the course indexable by google to generate traffic to the individual course "lessons".
I'm a little miffed by the fact that the content has generated zero search impressions.
Here's what I've done and some info about the site:
- Submitted a sitemap to search console, which successfully discovered 20 URLs
- Search console confirms 18 valid pages
- All site content is statically generated and available on initial page load
- Page speed is, according to lighthouse, is fine (~80 mobile ~100 desktop)
- Lighthouse confirms SEO best practices are being followed (score 93)
- Content is all original, high quality, contains images & video, avg. article length ~1,500 words
I have produced other blogs where I've had no problem getting traffic from google and I can't understand why google refuses to give this site the time of day. I didn't expect the content to drive a lot of traffic, but I did expect to see something. Any suggestions on what might be happening would be appreciated.
