Hello everyone!
I recently changed a website to a new domain (company rebrand) and experiencing loss of traffic.
I setup 301 redirection on the old domain. The old domain has 77k backlinks, including some high-authority websites (nytimes.com, businessinsider.com, vice.com, etc).
The new domain is much newer. It currently has about 28k backlinks, but not from as much high-authority websites.
The website has gone from about 1.5k visitors a day to 500 visitors a day. The website is starting to pick up a bit of traffic again, after 2 or 3 weeks.
Is there anything else I can do to recover the traffic? I thought 301 redirects, good backlinks, etc would minimize the loss.
At the moment I'm busy contacting all backlinks and requesting them to update the URL, adding the business in new directories, etc.
