Prevention or repair/recovery of negative/smear SEO targeted at an individual's real name

New to this sub (aware of SEO). Have a question about fixing an SEO based on targetted smear campaign.

Any resources that I can read up on? (I'm a tech person but not mainly in SEO, security)

Unfortunately, I'm anticipating an attack against me. Though I'm not a person of notability so it won't help the attackers much except short term fulfilment.

But the issue is that they have spy-cammed me and will upload on internet publically, and then SEO so that when someone googles my real name, the compromising material is one of the top links. Also if someone googles some embarrassing search terms, my name or the material is a top result.

By Google I mean other search engines as well. And social media (the internet is big so I dont' know where the attack is going to come from).

I know about Google's right to be forgotten, but I'm not sure how it works. Can you select one result and ask Google (or other social media service) to forget that negative result?

Also I know there are censorship-proof social media where smear results persist forever I guess?

Anyway advice, resources will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

edit: There must be freelancers or services offering negative-SEO mitigation? but that could also get out of hand. They spend money for attack. You spend money for defense. They spend more. You spend more. And so on.
