I'm looking for inspiration about SEO tasks that you like to do on an infrequent basis (every few months or once a year)
Off the top of my head here are some that come to mind:
- Ensure time relevant content is updated (e.g. 2020->2021)
- Technical audit (404's, page speed, duplicate content etc.)
- Check for cannibalisation content (would love tips regarding this)
- List of keywords rank 4-10 and work on optimising relevant pages (meta title, h1, etc.)
- Keyword gap analysis of competitors
- Backlink gap analysis of competitors
- Look at google trends for top keywords trends/industry insight
- Internal linking optimisation
- Check for "lost" backlinks/unlinked brand mentions
- Content audit (what's missing, what's no longer meeting user intent
- Meta title CTR "low hanging fruit" (underperforming titles relative to impressions/rank)
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated or expansion on how you like to do some of these points.
