My website is in dutch, targeting Holland and Belgium. I was playing around in the google keyword planner and noticed that there lots of english keywords that get 1000s of searches per month each, even though the language and country are set to dutch and holland.
I assume this is because pretty much everyone here speaks English and they perhaps expect to get better results in english. I know that's why I often search for english terms depending on the topic of the kw.
In the serps, none of the websites on the first page are from Belgium or Holland, and none of them are in dutch.
Is there an opportunity here?
And what would be the best approach for this? Inserting the english keyword in url & content, but keeping it dutch? Making my site bilingual with a tranlation for each article? Something else?
