I run a web development, marketing and design startup and I'm in the process of creating a web app that's aimed at the tourism sector in Ireland.
The web app is free to use, but I'm hoping to partner with brick and mortar high profile local tourism attractions with websites. And hopefully get a backlink from their sites to mine. Suggesting people use this app.
Here's the issue. In order for this app to get a high ranking on Google for search terms such as 'tourism cork city'. I'll need backlinks from these high DA sites with 'tourism cork city' or some derivation thereof in the link anchor text.
However, since I'm not actually in the tourism niche. And this is a free app. These industry non-niche backlinks won't actually benefit my development, marketing and design business.
So maybe I should ask for backlinks such as 'SEO Ireland' or 'web development cork city' in the anchor text?
How should I approach this? Is there a middle way? I hope to partner with about 6-8 high DA local sites to begin with...
