I have no idea how I've managed to rank #3 for this high volume keyword

I'm hoping someone can possibly understand what's going on here. I've been working on a kids' website for the past year or so, mostly for fun and to try to learn web development. I looked into SEO techniques a little bit, but haven't really placed too much of a priority onto optimizing my pages. I've mainly been working on building the website and on basic content instead.

But recently, within the past month or so, my website became ranked relatively highly for two keywords: "Learn to Fly 2" and "Sticky Ninja", both extremely popular kids games with volumes at about 40,000 each. For "Sticky Ninja", my site, Experimonkey, is ranked #3 and I frankly have no idea how or why this happened. I had been mainly trying to work on other long-tail keywords first like "Cool Science Experiments for Kids", which I haven't seen much improvement in, but I've been getting about 3,000 pageviews a day now, mainly from these games.

I assumed the flash game space was much more competitive and difficult to rank in than other areas. It seems extremely odd to me that all I did was find a couple free games on Kongregate and host them on my site, and now I'm receiving all this traffic and even a bit of Adsense revenue. Can anyone shed some light on what's possibly going on here? Should I expect to lose this traffic and these rankings in the near future?
