I am currently writing my bachelor thesis with the topic content based search engine optimization using the example of a wordpress blog. My focus is to prove that quality sees beyond quantity, in terms of keywords and semantics. I would like to compare blog posts that are optimized differently, i.e. well written texts versus poorly written ones (ie just gibberish) that contain the same amount of relevant keywords. I hope to quantify a relation or at least show a correlation between how semantically correct a blogpost is and how well google ranks it.
Are there SEO-Tools that directly show me the ranking even though I do not get in the first 100 results? Topic wise is it better to pick one that is trending right now, where many people are likely to search for related keywords, but where my blog competes with more other pages, or the other way around? Which is likely to give me the better statistics?
