So normally before bringing on a potential client I normally run them through a free website audit which shows them their current SEO, their competitions current SEO, and all the ways they can fix it and try to start outranking their competition. I think it's a great way to run them through my process and brief them on how important SEO can really be for their business; however, recently I had another SEO guy explain to me that he does the same process but charges everyone he works with for those audit. Now I can admit that it becomes a little obnoxious making these videos for people who have no intent to work with me and just want the free audit; however, I also don't know if I would be willing to charge someone as the idea at the end of the day is to help those business owners in need whether they work with me or not, also I may end up losing more potential clients in the long run. So do you think I should charge potential clients for these audits of their websites?
