Changed URL's - what is needed?

Hi guys,

Yesterday, I changed the post URL's of my website by removing the publish date. Afterwards, I re-submitted the updated sitemap to Google.

Question being: do I have to do anything else (e.g. 301 redirect) or can I just wait for Google to re-index my pages and update the links?
