So, I'm trying to figure something out and I think I have an inkling of the issue, but I don't have any idea how to fix it.
We have a website that has been performing well for us and around December 13-15 2019, the Google search results traffic for it has dropped. I think this may be due to some kind of Google algorithm changes. I have a couple questions and was wondering if anyone might know the answers:
1.) Does Yoast SEO keep up to date with these algorithms? Will I want to monitor Yoast to ensure that my lights mostly stay green in order to keep things optimized? I did check Yoast recently and could've sworn that some pages I had optimized were no longer optimized.
2.) I get a lot of crawling errors on the site, mostly attributed to things like images and things of that nature. Is this worth ignoring? I don't ever seem to get any kind of crawling or indexing with one of the main pages of my site.
3.) I have two "Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’", both for URLs that I've never seen before. However, they just link to our blog page.
4.) These crawl errors happen on different URLs. Sometimes I get a crawl error on the http URL, but I don't get the same URL crawl error on the https URL. If the sitemap is in the same location as it always is, and I've updated it recently, why would I get different errors on the different versions of my site?
I know this is a lot to ask but any help to point us in the right direction would be much appreciated!
