Here is an example of the company, and the situation going on:
Main page is BRAND NAME PLUMBERS
Nav bar has a locations drop down with multiple cities: City name brand name plumbers Other city name brand name plumbers Other city name brand name plumbers
The main page is void of specific city names, instead keeping it generic to plumbers/brand name/best plumbers/etc.
The city location pages have a good amount of City Name Plumbers associated to them.
However, our main keywords according to SEMRush are bouncing from the main page to the city pages, every other day... so 'city plumbers' will start ranking for the main page, 2 days later, back to the city page, which fluctuations in ranking.
I'm looking for some advice on what you guys would do to ensure the city pages stay ranked and gain momentum for specific 'city+plumbing' keywords.
And also what you guys would do for schema when it comes to the main page vs. the city pages.
