Question about product pages and mentioning them on start page

Hi!

I’m working with a client that has got a lot of products, but 3 of them are the “top products”. Let’s call them banana product, apple product and orange product.

Each product has a product page which rank 1-5 in the SERP for the product name. Our goal is ofc to be nr.1 for all products. So...

The optimal SERP for conversions is for the keywords “banana product”, “apple product” and “orange product”. When people search for just apple, banana and orange the intent is to learn.

So, my question;

The start page of the business web has a title like “Canada’s best apples, oranges and bananas”.

Would it be a better title if it was “Canada’s best apple product, banana product and orange product”?

My “fear” is that the start page would steal traffic and authority from the product pages if I use the product names on the start page.

But my hope is by using the product names on the start page, the product pages would get MORE authority since the web top page is more focused on the products.
