I found a powerful blog in my niche that offers link insertions on pre-existing articles. I’ve done this a couple of times with other blogs and it seems like a good way of obtaining a link since these articles are already indexed and have traffic.
However, my question is, when you find a blog that does this, what’s the best way to determine which page you should request to add your link?
This blog in particular has a few articles that are very relevant to the article I want them to link to, and would fit well with the content. However, they’re not ranking high for any of the keywords they’re targeting within these articles - so they’re not receiving much traffic.
On the other hand, they have other articles that are receiving a lot of traffic but not at all related to the content I want linked. However, the overall niche of the blog is relevant, just not so much these particular articles.
So, which article should I request to link to? One that’s highly relevant and will flow well with the content. Or, one that’s ranking for a lot of keywords, has more authority, but doesn’t exactly relate to the content of the article I want to link.
Hopefully this makes sense and I apologize if I’m overthinking the process.
