Will building a site hurt my SEO?

tl;dr Does building a new site when you already have good SEO really cause you to "compete" against yourself or can it be worth it?

Long version...

I am a wedding officiant. I officiate a lot of popup/elopement type weddings. Non-religious mostly.

I am also ordained clergy. People come to my personal clergy website looking for an elopement, knowing I am clergy, and don't seem to be bothered. I put on my site that I'm not out to convert anyone and happily officiate nonreligious weddings, so people are kind enough to work with me. I rank VERY high for my local SEO.

Having said that - I think I could attract more business with an actual "wedding officiant website" instead of my personal site that happens to have a few wedding related pages and some contact/booking forms. I'd also downplay that I am clergy on this new site in favor of talking more about the popup wedding business, leaning in on the nonreligious ceremonies. I think I could attract more business as a secular celebrant and leave my religious identity off the table for people who are simply allergic to clergy.

But then what? I'd be competing against myself for keywords and both my religious and nonreligious identities would show up on the first page of Google, so maybe it's self defeating.

Thoughts? Thanks!
