Hi, I've been thinking about ranking for a keyword for a while now but have been a little lazy about registering a domain and getting started but while doing my research I left a tab with a website that was ranking on page three open, it looks as though the owner of the domain hasn't renewed and the domain might be up for registration soon.
I was wondering if i register the domain and restore the old content will it regain its old rankings so that i can then start ranking it from page 3 and taking advantage of the face that it was already doing semi decent position wise as it looks as no SEO was already done and it may have been ranking on age (it has ~500 words of content is badly designed)
also this is a local keyword so ranking shouldn't be too hard
domain looks pretty clean, the small amount of back links are all what you would expect from a local site and are pretty minimal anyway
main question how long roughly to get the site back to where it was - I've already archived the content and will initially just copy and paste the old content
