Relative SEO-Noob here. I was hired as a Marketing prof for this small, family-owned company about a year ago. Digital marketing hasn't been a priority for them so I have only done very basic SEO tasks for them back when I started last year. Back then, I connected their website with Google Search Console, set their canonical domain to be "https://" and forgot about it.
I ran our domain through the Moz URL checker and I can see that a lot of URLs with "www." are being indexed (and generally ranking better) than those without it. All URLs with the "www." (that I've checked) have 301 redirect, so I don't really understand why this is happening. Does this just mean I need to choose the other canonical URL?
