I would like to ask whether its okay to go for a broad theme/niche when it comes to picking a topic for your site, but the articles that I will write on the website itself will be niche specific? Im thinking of picking a very broad theme for my website with 4 subcategories in it, but i have found the perfect keywords that produce a high amount of searches and relatively low competition. So could i go broad with my website theme/niche but make the posts themselves within those 4 subcategories very niche specific and focus on longtail keywords? The thing is, the government sites rank high for a lot of keywords within my niche, but since Im not trying to compete for the homepage, and focus on ranking for the niche specific sites i think i should be good. Do you guys think that this is a good idea or should, or am I off track? Im trying to start my first website but im trying to fully analyse everything before i head into it. Could you guys please help if you have any advice?
