Hotlinked images - any way to turn this to my advantage?

I have a site that is very photo heavy. A recent check showed masses of sites hotlinking these images from me. As it stands I don't see any positives with this.

So, firstly, are there any SEO benefits. I do well in image search but that is probably why I'm getting hotlinked.

The next thing I'm wondering about is redirecting. Some of the hotlinked images link back to a full size version. I was thinking if I redirected these links to an actual page that might be a positive.

What might make things easier is that all my images are now webp, but most of these sites use the old jpg versions.

Any ideas? Thanks
