Any disadvantage to internal links being 301?

We recently changed some of our URLs, and we did so very carefully so there are no BROKEN links - the 301s are all successfully set up. But many of the internal links throughout our pages and posts are pointing to the old URLs. Question: Is there any disadvantage in terms of link equity (or anything else)? Is it worth spending the time editing the individual href= url to point to the new urls or are 301s just fine? Is there a WordPress plugin useful for this that doesn't have too much of an impact on my site speed (I'm opposed to plugins in most cases).
