Hi, basically a website I created about a year ago was generating a lot of revenue out of a sudden, I had kinda abandoned it and only came back to it when I noticed the sudden increase in traffic, turns out my website was ranking in the 2nd and 3rd spots for a lot of my keywords on all versions of google :Germany, Portugal, Spain, Uk, US, when googling the keywords in english of course.
I got so excited I started to do the most idiotic thing, I added a bunch of new articles, and modified current articles a bit as well, every single day, and every single day requested a re-indexing on google search console, it was just one article that was ranking on these spots I mentioned, the rest were ranking on 10+, after a few days of doing these idiotic reindexes and changes, this one best performing article got wiped out of every single european google, and instead of having spots 2 and 3, was on spots 30+ (so it was indexed, just lost rankings), the US version however remained on the top places.
This happened over 2 weeks ago and made me realize what an idiot I am and that I of course know nothing of seo and what the hell was I doing, I wiped everything I had done and made the articles to what they were before I touched them, US position remains the same after two weeks (2nd and third for these keywords), european rankings have not recovered...
What could have happened here? Why was I wiped out of european serps but not US ones?
One more thing I want to mention, around 3 weeks ago I also noticed my competitors got wiped off the first few spots, they got brought down to 10+ or 20+ and have since kinda recovered and are around 8~10 (they were around 1st, 2nd, 4th before), my site did not suffer, this was around May 5.
