To quote John Mueller:
"You need to understand that the overall quality of a site cannot be improved just by technical changes in its operation. If you want search engines to take your web resource more seriously, then you should work hard on all fronts."
And here's what I want to add ...
This is indeed the case. But as practice shows, many do not understand this. There are 3 groups and 2 of them are probably the main ones, 90%. These 2 groups are divided into "I need a techie" and "I don't need a techie".
That is, they go to extremes. Some lick the technical part of the site, forgetting about the main one, the other vice versa.
SEO is a combination of factors and each error correction is an additional plus in the general piggy bank. The more plus signs you collect, the more likely you are to overtake your competitors.
But do not forget that there are big pluses, there are small ones. In technical optimization, it is the same.
For example:
- Fixing duplicate URLs is a big plus.
- Fixing duplicate content is a big plus.
