Can hidden elements for different screens affect ranking because of different word counts depending on the screen size?

Question: When u hide elements or paragraphs for different screens, does Google take them as different documents with different word counts, etc?

I know back in the day people did all sorts of black hat with content but I’m not asking for black hat reasons.

When I build pages for clients, I go with a 4-6 content sections for desktop and 3-4 sections for mobile on most pages

Anyone tested stuff like this?
