Yesterday, my association got an email from a students platform, saying they were willing to promote our association in exchange for a backlink. We have multiple backlinks on the association's site, mostly as a banner at the bottom of the page. These guys, however, wanted us to link to them in a blog post or news article. That left me wondering, does the context around the backlink matter? Is a link within a text worth more than a simple banner?
