Google never acknowledged keyword cannibalisation and there are even multiple posts ranking on Google SERPS for the same keyword! Google limited host crowding by showing only two listings max from the same domain! This was to promote diversity in their results! Yet keyword cannibalisation is promoted and believed by several SEOs as an issue and there are tools which claim to solve the issue!
